MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF RANDOM MIXTURES WITH COMPETING INTERACTIONS : Co1-xMnxCl2.2H2O
-The magnetic heat capacity of Gol-,MnxC12.2H20 with competing exchange interactions has been observed. A characteristic broad maximum appears around 4.5 K for x = 0.46 : nearly half of the magnetic entropy remains in the temperature region above 4.5 K. These thermal properties are discussed in comparison with other glassy systems.
متن کاملMagnetic-field-induced spin excitations and renormalized spin gap of the underdoped La1.895Sr0.105CuO4 superconductor.
High-resolution neutron inelastic scattering experiments in applied magnetic fields have been performed on La1.895Sr0.105CuO4 (LSCO). In zero field, the temperature dependence of the low-energy peak intensity at the incommensurate momentum transfer QIC=(0.5,0.5+/-delta,0),(0.5+/-delta,0.5,0) exhibits an anomaly at the superconducting Tc which broadens and shifts to lower temperature upon the ap...
متن کاملReplica Field Theory for Deterministic Models (II): A Non-Random Spin Glass with Glassy Behavior
We introduce and study a model which admits a complex landscape without containing quenched disorder. Continuing our previous investigation we introduce a disordered model which allows us to reconstruct all the main features of the original phase diagram, including a low T spin glass phase and a complex dynamical behavior. cond-mat/9406074 ROM2F/94/016 Roma-La Sapienza 1027

We have found that the eigenvalue g 5 is the one which gives the maximal free energy. This lea...
متن کاملNon-equilibrium phase transitions in lattice systems with random-field competing kinetics: mean-field theory
AbslracL The study by kinetic mean-field techniques of a ddimensional king system characterized by a sort of dpomicol &order reveals a rich phase diagram which exhibils a non-equilibrium lricnlical paint (only) for d > 2, and re-entrance phenomena. The system time evolution is stochastic due to the simultaneous action of wera l independent spin-flip mechanisms, each cot’responding to a differen...
